Round Grove United Church UCC Children's Choirs Perform during Worship on September 30, 2007


Children's Choir Club is for children in 1st - 4th grades and rehearses weekly each Sunday following the Children's and Student's Moment.

Choir Partners is for children in the 4th - 6th grades.

  • Learn to use the singing voice.
  • Discover melody.
  • Develop a sense of rhythm.
  • Encounter form.
  • Experience harmony.
  • Acquire beginning music reading skills.


Special Awards

Awards are presented twice yearly to acknowledge the participation of choristers in Cherub Singers, Children's Choir Club and Choir Partners. For the completion of 25 rehearsals, choristers are presented with a wooden cross on a black cord. Subsequent cords are given for recognition of:

50 rehearsals - red cord
75 rehearsals - purple cord
100 rehearsals - green cord
125 rehearsals - white cord
150 rehearsals - silver cord
175 rehearsals - gold cord
200 rehearsals - Choristers Guild pin

A stone is added to the pin for each additional 25 rehearsals.
