RESPONDING TO THE RISEN LORD

 

                                    What God has done for us through our Crucified and

                               Risen Lord is wonderful and eternal!  During April,

                               the  focus is on our response to Jesus Christ, our

                               Risen Lord.   

                                    The sermons and Scriptures during April are:

                               April 6 - “Are Your Eyes Opened?” - Luke 24:13-35

*                              April 13 - “He Came to Give Us Life!” - John 10:1-10

*                             April 20 - “Come as Living Stones?”  - 1 Peter 2:2-10

*                             April 27 - “He Asked for a Helper!”   - John 14:15-21

     Over 1,000 church brochures were received by new residents in

Lewisville and the surrounding communities about a week   before Easter.

We are also doing ads in local newspapers.  This is a good time to invite

family, neighbors, friends, and coworkers to share in our Worship and other activities.  As we receive new guests, let them see our hospitality and a

warm welcome!

       Responding to the Risen Lord includes growing in our love and

support of one another and with all who come among us.  Our fellowship

activities such as those of our different Boards, the Women’s Fellowship,

Men’s Fellowship, Youth in Action, Junior Youth, and Adult Fellowship,

along with Monthly Fellowship Meals and the Men’s Fellowship’s

Sponsored Monthly Brunches are very important parts of that growing in

love and support of one another.  The new Deacons’ Family Ministry

Program is also going to be instrumental.  The Music Board is sponsoring

an opportunity to help others and enjoy music and fellowship through the

1 p.m. Lover’s Lane Jazz Band program after the Meal on April 27th.
