Text Box: Christmas is almost here!  Round Grove United Church UCC is  celebrating the Birth of Jesus in many ways. Our “The Word Was Made Flesh”   Christmas Music Program by our    Music Ministry was beautiful.  Many gifts for the CCA Giving Tree Program were brought forward to the Altar and Dedicated.

Text Box: the Deacons and held in the Fellowship Hall after the program.  
We are sharing Jesus Christ’s invitation and welcome to all people through our sending out about 5,000 “Bringing Christmas Home” post cards. 
Christmas Sunday, Dec. 21st, at 9 a.m. our Intergenerational  Sunday School is in the Fellowship Hall!   Worship will include Holy Communion.
The enclosed envelope is for the Christmas Fund which will be received on the 21st.  


Text Box: Christmas Eve, Dec. 24th, Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. we will share in our Christmas Eve    Candlelight Altar Communion           Celebration.  The  focus will be “The Word became flesh and lived among us.”  Undesignated gifts will go to Eden Home for the Aged.

Text Box:     Sunday School will not be held on Sunday, Dec. 28th but will resume with the 9:00 a.m. Gathering with Instruments on Sunday, Jan. 4th.  	
	The Trustees request that you please review your giving thus far through the year and bring your donations up-to-date so the church can fulfill its plans for 2008.  All donations to the church, which are to be counted for 2008, need to be turned into the church on or before Dec. 28th.  Call Michael Howell for information about your giving.
        We have received 55 Faith-Promise commitments for a total of $119,356.10  If you have not yet turned in your Faith - Promise Commitment for 2008, and wish to do so, please turn it in as soon as

	The CCA Giving Tree Program went very well!  A large number of the gifts on the Giving Tree tags were brought forward to the altar during the “The Word Was Made Flesh” program on Dec. 14th to be dedicated before being taken to CCA.  Many thanks to the Mission Group for facilitating this project!  Many thanks to those who donated for this project!  Many thanks also go to the members & friends who donated food for the CCA Christmas Baskets!  
	Many thanks to the Missions Group for setting up the Giving Tree and to Mike Goebel for taking the gifts & food to CCA!
