 CELEBRATE GOD’S AMAZING MESSAGE!

                                       We are entering the church season of Advent!  It

                                is a time of anticipation during which we prepare for our

                                Christmas Celebration.  This Advent we have additional

                                reasons to celebrate, for we will receive a group of new

                                members and have the baptism of an infant during Worship on

                                Sunday, December 9th!  Another high point  of our preparation

                                for Christmas will be our 5:30 p.m. “Celebrate Jesus!”

                                Christmas Music Program and Service also on Sunday,

                                December 9th.  That service will include the dedication of CCA

                                Christmas Tree Gifts before they are delivered to Christian

                                Community Action for distribution.  In addition to donating

                                one or more of the gifts written on the CCA Tree tags, you are

also encouraged to donate numerous cans of yams and evaporated milk for the CCA Holiday Christmas Baskets.  A box is located in the Narthex for the food donations.

         The sermons during Advent will be part of a series titled: “Christmas: God’s Amazing Message to — *”

 

*Mary on Sunday, December 2nd, based on Luke 1:26-38

*Elizabeth on Sunday, December 9th, based on Luke 1:39-45

*Joseph on Sunday, December 16th, based on Matthew 1:18-24a

*Shepherds on Sunday, December 23rd, based on Luke 2:8-20

 

         Of course the high point of our Christmas Celebration will be our    6:30 p.m. Candlelight Christmas Eve Service!  This year it will include  Altar Communion.

The undesignated offerings that evening will go to our Eden home for the Aged in

New Braunfels.
