BEGIN THE YEAR OFF RIGHT!

 

                                          Let’s begin the year off right!  We had a

                                      wonderful Advent and Christmas Celebration with

                                      great attendance and the reception of new

                                      members.  Over 1,000 brochures were mailed to

                                      new residents prior to Christmas and the Deacons

                                      are planning some important ways to reach out to

                                      both potential guests and our congregation.  Invite

                                      guests!

                                          The sermons between now and the start of Lent

                                      will be part of a series titled: “Uniting with

                                     Jesus!”

                  * “Submit?” on Sunday, January 13th,

                  based on Matthew 3:13-17 and Isaiah 42:1-9.

* “Who Is He?” on Sunday, January 20th,

based on John 1:29-42.

* “Unity in the Good News?” on Sunday, January 27th,

based on 1 Corinthians 1:10-18.

* “Listening?” on Sunday, February 3rd,

based on Matthew 17:1-9.

     On Sunday, January 13th, we will share in the delicious Monthly Brunch following the Worship Service.  It is prepared by the Men’s Fellowship.  (Volunteers are needed for preparation, serving and clean up.)

     On Ecumenical Sunday, January 20th, I will share in the Worship    Leadership of the 2:30 p.m. Community Ecumenical Service at St. Phillips.  I hope members and friends of Round Grove will plan to attend the service.

      On Sunday, January 27th, we will hold our Monthly Fellowship Meal and our Annual Congregational Meeting after the Worship Service.  I urge everyone to be present for this important meeting and delicious meal.
