Many of us completed Personal Dedication Booklets and dedicated our Time, Talent, and Energy to God for God’s purposes on May 3rd. We honored and celebrated the love of our Mothers on Mother’s Day, May 10th. We celebrated our Youth and our Sunday School and Youth Staff on Youth &

Text Box: Teacher Appreciation Sunday, May 17th. We also received two new members on May 17th. We honored Justin Lentz as a Graduating Senior & the Women’s Fellowship awarded him a Scholarship on May 24th. Pentecost, May 31st, was a joyous celebration with World Beat and the Monthly Fellowship Meal. Yet, we live in a time when the future of the economy and our lives is unsettling. Just as we need each other and God even more, it is tempting to let the Summer season lead to vacationing from God and one another. But

Text Box: God does not go on vacation from us. We each need God’s comforting presence and love during these sobering days. The temptation to avoid God and the church deprives us of God’s love and presence as it is offered through each of us to each other and to all people. We are primary agents of God’s love and comfort to one another, so it is very important for us to faithfully come together. God needs you to love one another! -Pastor Wells
