FOCUSING ON COMMITMENT!

 

                                 During the month of March, we will be focusing on commitment -

                            both ours and God’s.  A high point of our focus on our commitment

                            will be during Worship on our Personal Dedication Sunday, March

                            9th.  We will have the opportunity to respond to God’s gifts by

                            completing and bringing to the Altar our Personal Dedication Folders

                            to indicate our commitment of Time, Talents, and Energy for God’s

                            purposes through Round Grove United Church.

                                 Of course the high point of our focus on God’s commitment will

be Holy Week and Easter.  The Palm Sunday Service on March 16th celebrates

God’s commitment shown by God’s Son, Jesus Christ, entering Jerusalem.  Our Maundy Thursday Altar Communion Service and Foot Washing Ceremony at

7:30 p.m. on March 20th will especially bring to mind the depth of God’s commitment.  Our most important celebration of God’s commitment and love for us will be our

Easter Activities: the 7:30 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service in the Original Building, the 8:30 a.m. Easter Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall, the 9:00 a.m. Easter Sunday School, and the 10:30 a.m. Easter Communion Worship Service with the   Chancel Choir Easter Presentation.   

     The sermons during March are:

* Mar. 2 - “Son of Man - Talking with You Now!” based on John 9:1-41

* Mar. 9 - “Come Out!” based on John 11:1-45

* Mar. 16 - “Thrown into an Uproar!” based on Matthew 21:1-11

* Mar. 30 - “Happy Believing without Seeing!” based on John 20:19-31

     March includes Fellowship Opportunities, such as, the 5p.m. Game & Pizza

Night on Sat., Mar. 8; the Easter Egg Hunt and the Fellowship Meal on Sun.,

Mar. 9; and the 8:30 a.m. Easter Breakfast on Mar. 23!
