CELEBRATING OUR CHRISTIAN FAMILY!

 

                                                                  During the month of May, we will Celebrate our Christian

                                                             Family in many ways!  Putting focus on our Christian Family

                                                             lifts up our need to be active in our loving community.  As we

                                                             give thanks for our Christian Family, we also understand our

                                                             Christian Family includes believers around the world.

                                                                   The first Sunday of May, May 4th, we will share in the

                                                              Confirmation and Youth Sunday Worship Service!  This

                                                              family celebration welcomes Sarah Quick and Allison Whittaker

as Confirmed members of Round Grove United Church, United Church of Christ.  The Quicks and Whittakers will host a Reception Luncheon Honoring Sarah and Allison in the Fellowship Hall after the service.  The service will include Holy Communion.  This service will be a time to celebrate and honor our Youth as they lead the service.  I urge everyone to be present to support and celebrate our Youth!

         May 11th, Mother’s Day, we will Recognize and Honor our Mothers and celebrate the Birthday of the Church, the Body of Christ, on Pentecost!  Each woman present during the service will receive a gift from the church.  The Round Grove Young Ambassadors and Chancel Choir will both sing in the service.  We will continue our family celebration as we eat the Monthly Brunch prepared and served by the Men’s Fellowship.

         May 18th is Teacher Appreciation Sunday!  We will Recognize and Honor all of our Christian Education and Youth Staff during Worship.  They will be honored by being served the Thank You Lunch for the Christian Education and Youth Staff following the service.  We will Recognize and Honor Graduating Seniors during the service.  This service will include the Chancel Choirs’ Top Five Favorite Anthems from the past year in place of the sermon.  The sacrament of Holy Communion will be shared.

         On Sundays, May 25th and June 1st, our Guest Preacher and Worship Leader will be Rev. Dr. Charles Rice, the recently retired pastor of Zion United Church of Christ near Clifton and the recently called part time NTA Association Minister.
