OUR WELCOME CONTINUES!

 

                                       God continues to bless us with many guests for

                                  Worship and other activities!  Our Board of Deacons

                                 with the support of the Board of Trustees is carrying

                                 out a new plan to reach out and welcome many new

                                 guests, who are looking for a church which welcomes

                                 all people and which seeks to manifest Christian unity

                                 in diversity.  We will receive a group of new members during Worship on Sunday, October 14th.  If you would like to join along with them or at some other time, please let me know.

      Members and friends can help share our welcome and invitation by distributing our new brochure to our family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  You can also call attention to our “steeples” commercial, which is being shown on Verizon FiOS TV.  As guests join in Worship and other activities, continue to show our warm and friendly welcome!

       October will provide us numerous opportunities for fellowship, such as the Women’s Fellowship Hot Dog Hoe-Down.  October also includes  the early stages of our Consecrating Stewards Program.  Our annual stewardship emphasis focuses on our need to generously give back to God to enable us to grow in our Faith Relationships with God.  We will have three of our Trustees make their Witnessing Steward Testimonies during the last two Sundays of October and the first Sunday of November.  Our new Conference Minister, Rev. Douglas Anders, will be our Guest Steward and Preacher for Consecration and Thanksgiving Sunday, November 11th.  We will share our Free Consecrating Steward and Thanksgiving Catered Luncheon also on November 11th.
