The World of the Generous
Text Box: The theme for our Consecrating Stewards program is “The World of the Generous Gets Larger and Larger.” (Proverbs 11:24) Round Grove United Church focuses on the need of the giver to deepen his or her faith relationship with God rather than on the need of the church. In fact, the Trustees will not even begin to work on the 2009 Budget until all Faith-Promise Commitments have been turned in. We have heard inspirational Witnessing Steward testimonies from Charles Littrell and Dee Shuttlesworth. On Nov. 2nd we will also hear testimony from Homer Terry. Our Consecrating Stewards program will culminate during our Worship Service on Sunday, Nov. 9th. Our Guest Steward and the Associate Minister for the North Texas Text Box: Association, Rev. Charles Rice, will lead us through the Faith-Promise process. Following this inspirational Worship Service, everyone is invited to share in the Free Catered Consecration and Thanksgiving Luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. The menu will include: Ham, Turkey, Mashed potatoes, Stuffing, Green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, bread & butter, pumpkin/apple pie and beverages. Please indicate on the bulletin insert if you will be staying for this Free Catered meal! We look forward to seeing you on Consecration and Thanksgiving Sunday, November 9th!
