Text Box: The Big Secret of Giving The theme for our Consecrating Stewards Program is “The Big Secret of Giving” which is based on Phillippians 4:12-13. “I know what it is to have little, and what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and going hungry. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Round Grove United Church focuses on the need of the giver to deepen his or her faith relationship with God instead of on the need of the church. In fact, the Board of Trustees will not even begin to work on a budget for 2008 until after all the Faith-Promise Commitments have been received through the Consecrating Stewards Program. We have heard Witnessing Steward Testimonies from Rod Morehead and Grady Quick. Laura Martinez will give her Witnessing Steward Testimony on Sunday, November 4th. On Sunday, November 11th, during the Worship Service, our Guest Steward and Conference Minister, Rev. Douglas Anders, will deliver the sermon and lead us through the Faith-Promise Process. Following this Inspiring Worship Service, the congregation is invited to stay for the Free Consecration and Thanksgiving Luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. The menu includes: ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, corn, bread & butter, pumpkin and apple pie and beverages. Please indicate on the insert in the Bulletin if you will be staying for the meal or contact the Church Office. We look forward to seeing you on Consecration and Thanksgiving Sunday, November 11th!
