THE MISSIONS AND OUTREACH PROGRAM The Missions Group meets each Sunday at 9:25 a.m. in the Youth Room. NEWS!!!! Shane and Phyllis Murphy Scholarship: This scholarship honors the Murphy’s for their endless hard work and dedication in serving the community and Round Grove UCC. The group will be selecting a student from the Lewisville ISD Vocational program who will be attending a trade school or career college. The student will receive a $500 scholarship for tuition. Our group will also provide additional support through mentoring, supplies and encouragement. BACK TO SCHOOL: In mid-July we will begin collecting donations of Backpacks and School Supplies for grades K-12. KIDS EAT FREE SUMMER PROJECT: Kids Eat Free extends through August 22nd. We are making and delivering 120 lunches on Tuesday and on Thursday of each week. SCRUBS PROJECT: 24 blankets were made at the blanket making activity after Worship on June 22nd! Marianne Beveridge has completed a total of 45 Scrubs since this project began! ADOPT-A-FAMILY: Our group has recently been matched to a family through CPS who is in need of an air conditioner for their mobile home along with other household items. We will be purchasing the items soon. CCA FAMILY: In July the group will meet with a Family (husband, wife, 5 yr. old child & 2˝ month old child) we’ve been matched to through CCA. The father is currently rejecting his new kidney and the 5 year old has been diagnosed with Leukemia and currently in remission. Please pray for healing and a good meeting!
