THE MISSIONS AND OUTREACH PROGRAM The Missions Group meets each Sunday at 9:25 a.m. in the Youth Room. The New NEWS!!!! Shane and Phyllis Murphy Scholarship: This scholarship honors the Murphy’s for their endless hard work and dedication in serving the community and Round Grove UCC. The group will be selecting a student from the Lewisville ISD Vocational program who will be attending a trade school or career college. The student will receive a $500 scholarship for tuition. Our group will also provide additional support ` through mentoring, supplies and encouragement. MAY WE GIVE PLEASE: May/June undergarment drive for CCA/ Rainbow Room. Underwear, socks, and T-shirts for Girls and Boys, sizes from tots to youths. KIDS EAT FREE SUMMER PROJECT: Kids Eat Free Summer Project began June 9th and extends through August 22nd. We will be providing free lunches for low income children in the Lewisville area on Tuesdays and Thursdays along with free books and activities. SCRUBS PROJECT: The Mission Outreach Program is still working hard for the children of Denton County with our Scrubs project. We will be making blankets after the refreshment time on June 22nd. Please come and join us! ADOPT-A-FAMILY: Our group has recently been matched to a family through CPS who is in need of an air conditioner for their mobile home along with other household items. We will be purchasing the items soon. We have also been contacted by CCA with a possible Family match. The family consists of a husband, wife, and two kids (5 yrs. and 2 1/2 months). The father is currently rejecting his new kidney and the 5 year old has been diagnosed with Leukemia and currently in remission.
